There are A LOT of wires that have to be connected, and if you make any mistakes your car will have weird little electrical problems afterwards. Plus you will need to conceal the wires well--If you do a crappy install, your car will actually be easier to steal than without any alarm at all. But if you have experience with 12-volt, you will have no problems at all. Most sensors are pretty universal. They normally just have a +12V wire, gnd wire, gnd for chirp wire and gnd for siren wire. And DEI sensors are normally considered the best quality.
